As preventive action property owners should clear the property surroundings and make free the property from inflamable things. Owner should also take care of any undergrowth near the home which should also be cleared.

Apart from these common things , using technologies both the owner and the fire management authorities may use screens and shutters that prevents the embers to enter home inside. Wire mesh can be used to cover roof ventilations . Fire management authorities should publicise these things atleast by putting what to do and what not to do in the busy areas in the communities thus peoples may keep themselves aware.
