Why do you think that this significant proportion of the undocumented population that is not Latin American is generally ignored by the media and politicans?

There are many reasons for the negligence to such undocumented people. It is a political pressure and state policy not to cover these people in the news. The undocumented people do not get any facility from the state. They are not provided least healthcare. According to the policy of the United Nations Organizations. They are refugees and they are not provided any facility.

It is also seen that if their news are covered by the media then there will be the interference of the International Human Rights. There would be the pressure from other countries and human rights organizations. In most of the cases the state uses force to return the undocumented people top their native land. Naturally such matters need to be operated secretly. Besides, after long days staying they may demand for permanent residentship. To suppress their demand the state keeps all things secret. The media is not allowed to broadcast their news.
