Explain how two or more social structures (statuses, roles,
groups, social networks, and/or social institutions) affect one's
access to quality and affordable health care in American
society.
The term health includes various aspect of a being. It constitutes of mental, physical and social well-being of an individual. The conflict theory emphasizes on social inequality affecting one's quality of health. Communities with black or Asian race, lower class and individuals with lower socio-economic status, usually face the brunt. They have lesser medical facilities available. Both physically and mentally they are more prone to illness than individuals from higher-strata of higher socio economic groups. Either they cannot afford health care or they may not be exposed to good health care facilities. This makes it even more difficult for them to become well after being ill.
