Answer #1

1- We need to study learning theory so we can be more effective as educators..

Learning theories are conceptual frameworks that describe how students absorb, process, and retain knowledge during learning.[1]Cognitive, emotional, and environmental influences, as well as prior experience, all play a part in how understanding, or a world view, is acquired or changed and knowledge and skills retained..

There are many benefits of transfer of learning in the classroom. One of the main benefits is the ability to quickly learn a new task. This has many real-life applications such as language and speech processing. Transfer of learning is also very useful in teaching students to use higher cognitive thinking by applying their background knowledge to new situations

2- Effective learning outcomes emphasize expected behavior of student and the particular conditions and standards of performance through which the students would be measured.:

a) Expected Student Behavior – It is good to write learning outcomes with respect to an observable, behavioral outcome; importantly, learning outcomes must give a description of what the student would be able to do.

b) Student-Centered - All learning outcomes must focus on the student. An effective learning outcome will ellaborate expectations for student performance, behavior, , or understanding.

c) Specific Conditions - Learning outcomes must be particular and target one aspect or expectation of  highlight and understanding and the conditions under which the student is expected to perform the task.

d) Specific Standards of Performance - Every learning outcome must be measurable and contain the criteria for evaluating student performance.
