According to Vygotsky:

Deveopment is different from social and cultural context. The children work with others to build knowledge. He said there are no stages. He also said learning preceeds development, also language drives thought. Regarding speech he said social speech becomes inner speech.( Social process --- Psycholigical process).

Acording to Piaget:

Deveopment is universal and stages are same regardless of context. He said children accuire knowledge from their own explorations. He said there are four stages
