Stage 1 Trust vs Mistrust, Age 0-2 years
The child is completely depended on their parents, and learns to trust them. The infant does not have any sense of right and wrong at this stage. If the parents are caring and affectionate, the child develops trust.
Stage 2 Autonomy vs Shame and Doubt, Age 2-4 years
The child learn to be autonomous to a certain extent. They learn to change their clothes and feed themselves.There maybe lot of magical thinking and the child may be unable to distinguish between the real and supernatural.
Stage 3 Initiate vs guilt, Age 4-5 Years
They learn to explore their surrounding and environment. They start interacting with neighbors and school friends.They may start to become somewhat indepnt and take initiative, or may feel guilty about their actions.
Stage 4 Industry vs inferiority, Age 5-12
Children start to develop many skills now, and develop logical thinking.They start going to school and socialize with other children and people. They develop confidence in this stage if they are encoraged nd productive, otherwise may feel inferior to ohers.
Stage 5 Identity vs Role confusion, Age 13-19
They start to develop identity and independencce. Sexual development is at its peak now.Adolecent try to form an identity in this stage. If succesfull, they establish a identity, otherwie may feel confused about who they are.
Stage 6 - Intimacy vs. Isolation. Early Adulthood
In this stage, young peoeple look for romantic and meaningfull relationships with others. Those who are succesful at this devlop intimacy, and those who are not may become isolated.
Stage 7 - Generativity vs. Stagnation, Middle Adulthood
This stage occurs during the middle adulhood, where people focus on their family and work. Those who are succesfull in this stage feel that they are contributing to the society and also progressive forward in life. Those who aee not my feel stagnated.
Stage 8 - Integrity vs. Despair, Old Age
This is the last stage, where a person has entered old age. Here, people look back on their lives and may feel happy about it or may have regrets. They may feel proud and satisfied with heir achivement or may feel despair.
