What factors do you think could reduce the likelihood that a psychopathic individual will engage in criminal behavior? Explain
The psychopathic individuals lack empathy, are impulsive, egocentric, manipulative and have risk taking behaviors. It is necessary to understand that they are highly manipulative, they cannot bear a slight rejection or disagreeableness towards them, and punishment doesn't works with them. Dealing with such person it's necessary to understand these aspects of their personality. Inorder to reduce the likelihood of engaging in criminal behavior they should be positively reinforced even for a smallest of their good behavior, being highly egocentric would increase the chances of such good behaviors to be repeated. Caution should be taken while disagreeing with them, it should in a manner that they do not feel rejected. While dealing with them the understanding of their manipulative mind should always be there, and hence, a slight change in their behavior should be evaluated seriously to prevent any crime.
