Answer #1

Signaled avoidance is the avoidance done intentionally which prevents the delivery of aversive stimulas. Such type of situations occoured generally with a prior experience or an idea from earlier about a place or person which generates a thought that if interacts sometimes in future then negligency is the way to cope up with the situation which results into signaled avoidance.

In the year 1947 Hobart Mowrer proposed this two factor theory of conditioning to explain the development and maintainance of phobias. learning principles are of classical and operant conditioning. Avoidance is thr reward here which increases the behaviour of avoidance.
