According to Piaget, the most instilled moral values in a child would have come from his parents. Piaget stated that the intellectual development in a child would be occurring in the form of stages. Children would be learning their interactions through different phases and these are 4 in Number. Piaget stated that parents, mostly, are not aware of the natural method of acquisition of skills, and ultimately would be rushing the children to be learning certain skills.

Piaget states that children would be learning a skill only through experiences. The experiences of the stages, especially concrete operational stage, are what affect and impact the person to become a bully. In this stage, the thought processes of the children become limited such that those would only be applicable to tangible objects. Children absorb information only on the basis of the physical characteristics. In this stage, children would be obtain an awareness that is metalinguistic, such that they should be able to comprehend jokes as well as metaphors.

In this age, emotions are high and uncontrollable and it can become common for children to become short tempered as well as aggravated quickly. These children are not able to put their emotions forward in a socially acceptable manner and get angry not being able to achieve a goal. They form their own version of self concept, when the self esteem is at its lowest point, there is a confusion in identity, making people bullies.
