According to growth machine city is like a growth machine instead of results of process(natural).growth of the urban city is not organized by geography only but it is driven by groups which are associated with the city because they take benefits from the growth and expansion of the city.

Hence, growth and expansion of the city are intended, planned, social, political. Distribution of people is not related to geography, transportation only but political, social interest groups.
