Though diversity is considered as strength, but actually diversity creates competition for the limited resources, due to which tensions occur and the society is divided.When the socio-economic condition is lower in a diverse neighborhood, there's more tension and conflicts for the limited resources. This may result in distrust, non altruistic behavior, and lack of cooperation for community development among the people. The people are more aloof with fewer friends in such condition. Thus, historically diversity is more dividing by the tensions and strains caused by the socio-economic backgrounds.
