Answer #1

Responsible recovery is when the person takes full responsibility of ones own recovery, and is internally moivated to abstain from the drugs. It is to understand the effects and harm which the addiction has caused to the person and their family, and learn from it by not doing it again. The person should not blame others or external events for the addiction, but should take the responsibility themselves. They should setsmall goals and targets for themselves and exercise willpower to boost their self confidence.
