Why is smoking morally wrong?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

Smoking is considered to be wrong because it causes health issues. However, smoking is also morally wrong. One of the major reasons for smoking being morally wrong is due to its passive effects. Smoking in public is legally unacceptable as well. When a person smokes, they not only take a hit on their health but also cause others a problem. When you smoke, it is not only your lungs that is filled with tar. However, the others around you are in-taking smoke passively through the surrounding air. Thus, this is one of the major reasons why unlike other addictions, smoking is considered to be morally wrong. It not only causes problem to oneself but others too.
