Are projective techniques valid when applied to personality testing? Why?

Homework Answers

Answer #1

The projective methods belongs to abstracts evaluation of personality so that we experiences some kind of lack of objectivity in these tests.

TAT, CAT, WAT and Rorschach Inkblot tests are not standardized in vast perspectives so that validity and reliability of these tests not measured in vast population. Projective methods mainly depends on perception and logic of the person who implement these tests.

In my opinion, Projective techniques are good to use in personality testing but some time do not provide effective analysis. One more thing I have seen in project methods, they are some kind of prejudicial rather than scientific and experimental.
