Mixing Human and Animal Genes

On June 9th, 2011, Argentina’s National Institute of Agribusiness announced the birth of the first ever transgenic (with mixed genes) cow. This historic calf, named Rosita ISA, contains both human and Jersey Cow DNA.

Rosita ISA was born on April 6 weighing in at a staggering 45 kilos, or 99 pounds. Due to her large size, nearly twice that of a nontransgenic Jersey cow, she was born via Ceasarian section.

According to the researchers, when Rosita reaches maturity, her human DNA will allow her to produce milk with the same proteins and similar nutrients to a human mother’s.

At a press conference, researcher Adrian Mutto stated that the aim in creating Rosita was to increase “the nutritional value of the cow’s milk [with] two human genes, the protein lactoferrin, which provides infants with anti-bacterial and anti-viral protection, and lysozyme, which is also an anti-bacterial agent.”‡

Answer #1

Natural law theory means law which is made by nature here on Earth, Day & Night, Black & White, Left & right, these are some examples of natural law. But sometimes, these laws are altered by human. And human law is made, for example, Transgenic cows is made by mixing two genes or more into a cow for good milk and protein.

The transgenic cow is made in many countries but some countries have strict rules against It. However, the making Transgenic cows is against natural law, as nature does not allow to alter its laws by any mean. But to get most benefits man alters the law and man-made law is formed.

If we take an example from one movie which gives a brief idea about natural law gets alter is ‘Jurassic Park’, mortals made dinosaurs, as they got extinct millions of years back. But human re-created them, and alter the rule of nature and this led to high risk to human life although the main objective of recreating was amusement.

However Natural law does not all to alter its laws, but we as human do.

As if Now transgenic cows do not have any effect on human, but in future, there could be a chance that it can lead to human risk.
