According to the New York Times, the Internet Research Agency broke out a well planned hoax news of an explosion in St. Mary Parish which had many processing plants for chemicals and natural gas. They spread this hoax news through well paid trolls through fake accounts in Twitter. This created havoc in the lives of people in Louisiana and it disrupted them heavily. It took hours to calm down the people and make them understand the reality. Thus, this incident made realize that how a virtual attack can create havoc and disrupt the lives of people and create problems for the administration.
