Answer #1

Answer 9

Medical model is different from other models. A medical model usually deals disorders and treats, as any other physical diseases with the help of medication or psychosurgery. This model focuses on organic and physical cause of the disorders (more like on biological basis of the problem).

Psychological disorders need much clearer diagnosis and treatment part as it is different from other general physical disorders. The process of identification, diagnosis, and treatment can be similar. However, some psychological disorders need much wider classification basing on the symptoms and conditions.

So, when compared to other models, a disadvantage of the medical model is the status which can be associated with a diagnosis of a mental disorder.

Hence, the correct answer is option C.
