Answer #1

Ptsd or post traumatic stress disorder is an anxiety disorder that takes place in the aftermath of a traumatic incident.

People who usually suffer from this are those that have been subjected to child abuse and/or rape.

This is a common syndrome in war heroes as well.

The symptoms of this disorder are an activated fight or flight response, dream with respect to the incident, thoughts about it so and so forth.

The quality of life within this disorder is quite hectic as the person suffering from is plagued by thoughts of the incident which decapaciatates them from their normal functioning.

There are CBT and group therapies to aid with this and medications.

One such example could be seen in the Homeland series with Brody.
