Yes, his argument does stand a point with respect to reading

He says that reading helps you understand various aspects of life amd they help you go through moments in life that some time bewildered one ot confuse one, and a book seems assuage that.

He also says that book often provide people with mediums amd conduits of communication, and a friendship that you otherwise wouldn't have explored the potential if you hadn't had a thing like reading in common, as he alludes to a grandmother connection with her grandchildren over hunger games.

Reading provides people with perspective and help that might seem lost during times that are tough amd demanding.
