Describe the central areas of life-course criminology, including stability and desistence.
Life course criminology focuses on the events that cause people to behave in certain ways that either cause them to be criminals or keep them away from committing crimes. Although most of the crimes are related to the traits for being stable in committing crimes, there are other factors that contribute to this such as poverty, abuse, oppression, lack of parenting, mental illness etc. Desistence on the other hand shows that people in their life course undergo lots of changes such as marriage, children, stable job, regular income etc. that help them stay away from crimes.
