Because woman carries with her a multiplier effect ., i.e. Benefit to women generates several other consequential benefits.

If women farmers would have same resources then they will have better yield than what they are having today. 45% women are farmer and 60% of hungry people are women . Generally in household , women eat least and eat at last. If they will be empowered , hunger levels will surely come down.

Moreover , a woman spends 90 % of earning on thier children 's healt h education and development while men does so only 40% of earnings . Children of well earning female farmer will have better nutrition and health and hence , better future.
