Answer #1

With respect raising a child in a gender neutral fashion, I frequently came about theories describing gender as a social construct. The commonly held view is the an individual’s biological sex largely determines the expression of gender, however Incame to realise that socialisation plays a critical role in gender. As children mature into adulthood, they learn to associate certain types of behaviours with different genders, are rewarded for the so-called gender-appropriate behaviour and observe other people around them adopting their respective gender roles. All of these factors lead to the development of a gender identity.
