How does the ideas and methods of structuralism compare with those of modern psychology

Structuralism is also referred to as structural psychology. This is a theory that implies the importance of consciousness which had been developed by William Wundt. This field identifies the importance of the an adult mind and its analysis which would be identified via the components that could be defined in simple terms. Further, these components would be fitting together such that the experiences would be more complex and would be correlated with the events that occur physically. As a result, psychologists would be employing introspective analysis along with sensations of self reports and identification of the emotions of a person or their feelings or views. Within cognitive psychology, this approach is used for measurement of conscious experiences. These methodologies are referred to as introspective methodologies.
