Factors contributing to divorce in United States

  • Communication Problems
    • In marriage, a certain level of problem solving is required. Couples with communication problems refuse to share the problem with the spouse.
    • Eventually individuals stop discussing personal issues, and eventually head towards divorce
  • Finance
    • Money is the root of all evils and cause of all the arguments
    • In marriage, a difference in spending and saving habits becomes the cause of misunderstanding and poor communication
  • Infidelity
    • Very few relationships can survive the impact of fidelity
    • The partner feels like a captive in a non existent relationship and it eventually results in divorce
  • Commitment
    • When one person is more committed to the relationship, it is bound to die
    • Commitment ensures sacrifices which are required for any healthy relationship.
  • Addiction
    • Alcohol and Drug addiction does not go well in marriage
    • Living with an addict can be difficult and painful, hence many choose the path of divorce
