Summary: The above article reviews the impact of Gender Roles on Adolescent’s self esteem. As put forwarded by the authors, self esteem is a large part of Adolescent’s self understanding and it is dynamic in nature and susceptible to internal and external influences during adolescence. Gender Role influences adolescent’s self esteem. While self confidence is stereotypical male feature, Displaying of Self-confidence on the other hand by Girls is considered to be a breach of traditional gender roles.
