(LITERATURE) What evidence is there that the rebellion of the women in The Thousand and One Nights is less about eroticism and more about power over the self? Write at least 7 sentences.
In The Thousand and One Nights, the protagonist, Shahrazad tries to save other girls while being beaten by her father for her doings. She is okay with taking the beatings from her father in order to save the girls. Shahrazad also has her sister Dinarzad on her side, wherein she insists on listening to the story some other time so that it would result in the girl being saved and not murdered. In every story narrated by Shahrazad, she tries to propagate that girls and women must not be killed and murdered for no reason and that what the King is doing is wrong. The evidence from the snippets all in all suggests more about power over the self than eroticism
