Higher learning is a American drama of 1995 directed by John Singleton .It basically follows the life of three freshmen and the challenges and situations they face in their new university.

Issues faced by college students in the movie are similar to some issues that one sees or encounters in one's own college such as :

  • In the movie Monet and Malik attend a dorm party hosted by Fudge, an Afrocentric and militant senior and when a security patrol is called he is very tough on the black students but lets other students play music throughout the night who are non blacks. This is something that is seen in our campus too.
  • People verbalising racial slurs like in the movie whenwreally angry is something seen also in our college when quite angry or high
