Introduction- Alzheimer is a progressive brain disorder in which a person experience slow destruction on memory, thinking and other mental skills. It is a chronic neurogenerative disease that usually stars in the age of 60.

Alzheimer in United States- The Alzheimer is currently ranked 6th in united states leading cause of death (Report 2017), Alzheimer rise most common cause of dementia among older adults, the number of person suffering from Alzheimer are increasing in America.

1- Alzheimer is only disease in the 10 leading cause of deaths in the United State that cannot be cured, prevented or slowed.

2- Between 2017 and 2025, every states is expected to see 14 percent rise in the prevalence of Alzheimer’s.

3- By 2050, it’s estimated that there will be as many as 16 million Americans living with Alzheimer’s.

4- In 2017, Alzheimer costs the America $ 260 Billion, by 2050, cost associated with Alzheimer could be 1.01 Trillion.

Alzheimer in Texas- Texas ranked fourth in the number of AD cases and second in the number of AD deaths. In 2017, there were an estimated 16.1 million unpaid or volunteer caregivers in America, in Texas 104 million unpaid care givers provided care to the 380,000 individuals with AD in 2017, this is equal to 1.6 billion hours of unpaid care costs of 20 billion in a year.

The state of Texas, started AD program to spread awareness in the state, the Alzheimer disease program collaborated with Texas council of Alzheimer disease and related disorders. The state is also working with TARCC to research in Alzheimer and other dementia. The TARCC have researched over AD persons and working for new ideas and techniques as well as medical treatment to control the disease.
