Imagine you are a finance minister tasked with eliminating the deficit. You can do so by cutting expenses by 15% overall. Your current cost overruns are in health, education, infrastructure (roads, buildings, etc.), and public safety. What will you cut? What are your priorities? What will be the consequences of your cuts? One more thing: you are facing an election in a few months.

First of all I would not cut any grant in the field of healthcare and education. These two branches makes the backbone of a country. My main priorities would be to improve the healthcare system and education system as these two make the backbone of a developed nation.

I would prefer to cut on the infrastructure as I can spend on it later on and there is no upper cap set on this. The basic infrastruture is present everywhere nowadays, so cost cutting on this part may not harm the public adversely. Public safety is also an important task, as the safety of the nationals is of utmost importance. I would rather like to give a slight cut on this as well because the basic safety measures are already installed.
