Answer #1

eriksons theory gave 8 stages of developent one of which is identity vs role cconfusion. this crisis must be faced by adolescents. in this a teenager has to choose between different options for values in life, beliefnpolitical issues, career options and marriage. a consistent sense of self is found from these. if earlier stages are reached successfully then peer pressure can be resisted and identity can be found in adolescents. the ones who lack trust in others, feel guilty otr shameful, have low self esteem and depend on others are not successful in reaching their identity as peer pressure is effective on them. the only way of resolving this conflict is building a peronality in accordance to previous stages and not focussing on peer pressure more.
