In regards to the Malthus theorem who do you side with: the New Malthusians or the Anti-Malthusians? Support your points with evidence.
The New Malthusians criticized Thomas Malthus population theory. Thomas Malthus conducted his research in England. He based his population theory on the data and information collected only in that particular geographical area. His theory was not considered to be reliable as it does not apply to other cultures. Malthus population theory has thought to be ethnocentric and has been critiqued for the same. I side the New Malthusians as Malthus's population theory indeed cannot be generalized to other cultures and ethnic backgrounds. The theorem is very one dimensional.
