I am writing a group research paper about the mass incarceration of minorities for drug offenses. I am in charge of writing the analysis portion. I have never written a research paper, is there a template I can follow to give me some guidance on writing the analysis portion. Or how would I begin my paragraph?

Answer . To write the analysis part of the research you should start with making bar graphs and tables showing relationship and effect between the variables . For each graph and table you should write brief explanation discussing what the graph/table shows in a paragraph form just below the respecrive graph or table. For reference purpose I am attaching one image of my own dissertation analysis. Hope it helps. You can refer to this image and similarly make tables and graphs in the analysis section.
