This Supreme court ruling of the US to provide death sentence to juvenile offenders has been challenged by many scholars since it raises very many questions over the social aspects as a whole. It is s strong yet sensible stance to send across a strong message to such offernders. In fact, lack of values and ethics is rampant across globe with the crime rates increasing, especially amidst adolescents. In order to maintain some sanctity of law and order and instill some fear of the legislation within society, it is important to implement such bold policies and rulings. The impact this may create could be inspirational to other countries as well, in case it tends to reduce the rate of crime and violence.
