Achieved Status

An achieved status is one that is procured based on justify; it is a position that is earned or picked and mirrors a man's aptitudes, capacities, and endeavors. Being an expert athelete, for instance, is an achieved status, as is being a legal advisor, school teacher, or even a criminal.

Ascribed Status

An ascribed status, then again, is past a person's control. It isn't earned, yet rather is something individuals are either conceived with or had no influence over. Cases of ascribed status incorporate sex, race, and age. Kids ordinarily have more ascribed statuses than grown-ups, since they don't as a rule have a decision in many issues.

Master status

The master status of an individual is one which, in most or every social circumstance, will overwhelm or rule all different statuses. The term was authored by American humanist Everett Hughes in the 1940s, with exceptional reference to race. Occupation, race, and sex may all capacity as master statuses in Western social orders, and can create intense inconsistencies and social issues when essential status positions repudiate apparent parts and generalizations

EXAMPLE- My ascribes status is that i am a female i.e. my gender and is given to me by birth . My achieved statis is that i am a psychologist which i have achieved through my own competencies and abilities. My master status is that I am a powerful women .
