Helping others is a very good tendency, but our personality, our life style and other factors prevent us from doing so.If we had more of moral values that we learn from our environment mainly or family and peer group .If we were brought up in a very protected manner where we are taught by our parents to take care of ourselves first and then the others, selfish motive is being taught. If we had a personality of introvertism we would not think of expanding our social circle, going out into the world to explore if there are people who require help and assistance.Helping others is sometimes done with a selfish motive of gaining something .We are often taught that we should help and something will come in return which is not the right approach of a helping tendency.
