Performance-enhancing drugs are thought to gives athletes an edge in competition, but they also lead to negative consequences like cardiovascular conditions, organ damage, tumors, and endocrine effects, which ultimately do more harm. Moreover, PEDs lead to breast enlargement and sperm reduction in men while it produces adverse physical effects like clitoral enlargement and abnormal menstrual cycle in women. Thus, PEDs have negative effects in both men and women.
