Answer #1

The twin research on intelligence shows that intelligence is both a nature and nurture phenomena. The identical twins who are 100% identical genetically when raised in different environment had individual difference in intelligence. This shows that genes do play a vital role in intelligence but it's the environment or nurture that shapes intelligence. Every individual is born with a certain traits of intelligence, these traits are enhanced or is diminished according to the favorable and unfavorable conditions that they receive from their surroundings. Thus, intelligence is derived both from nature and nurture, that is, it is both biological and environmental.
