French Sensationalism can be related to concepts and principles of psychology

Sensationalism could be identified as the doctrine in which it is stated that all of the knowledge would be obtained from the various sensations. It would be the theory in which the origin of knowledge is stressed upon. Sensationalism is the one in which it states that sensation would be the main source of ideas. There are no innate ideas and every idea comes only from direct sensory stimulation. Also, thoughts may be coming from prior stimulation of senses. These ideas are worked upon in mind operations which in turn come up as a result of remnants from memory. This includes perception, followed by thinking or reasoning , which operations are innate to the humans. These ideas form the basis of modern psychology.
