On average after the age of 50 women have half as much income as men. This has specific consequences in terms access to resources such as nutrition, housing, healthcare, social activities and other basics necessities which affect older women’s quality of life and longevity.

Yes there are many consequences of less income of women after the age of 50 . At the second half of life, women face different health issues and physical problems that require a lot of money for treatment. In such a case these women are not able to afford such treatments and the costly medicines, so they are bound to suffer their ailments.
The house rents are also beared by them solely as they may live alone as widows and their children might have relocated to different places. So they are unable to afford good place to live in for themselves.
