1.what is P2P, and how does it differ from FTP downloading (you do not have to get too technical, but may need to do some extra research on the Internet for this one)?
2. How do the Pirates feel about P2P? Why?
FTP is an acronym for File Transfer Protocol and is used to transfer files between computers on a network. FTPs can be used to exchange files between computer accounts, transfer files between an account and a desktop computer, or access online archives. FTP sites are heavily used and require several attempts before attempting. Peer-to-peer or P2P computing is a distributed application architecture that partitions workloads between peers. Peers make a portion of their resources directly available to other network participants without the need for central coordination. Peers are therefore suppliers and consumers of resources, distinct from client-server model where only serves supply and clients consume.
