Adaptive behavior is categorized as the real-life skills which help to practice social skills and take their own responsibilities. Like adaptive behavior, repression is also adaptive as when children get abuse by his or her parents the behavior a person changes and they face difficulty to form any relationship with others. Conformity is also adaptive in nature because it has been observed that society faces difficulties sand harm people who are not able to confirm or obey something. Imprinting is essential to allow the young species to aware of distinguishing their own mother to form others; therefore it is also adaptive in nature. Displaced aggression takes place when it is not possible for individuals to respond aggressively towards frustration. Loss of information from short-term memory is also adaptive in nature because forgetting is essential which helps to memorize things.
