Homework Answers

Answer #1

Transactional analysis focuses on individual interactions with one's social world. Berne's theory of transactional analysis emphasizes on ego development based on the child's interactions with their parents and immediate social surroundings. Based on these interactions in childhood an individual has an ego developed as childlike, adult or parental. The therapy focuses on altering one's ego state to avoid emotional conflicts and problems which leads to less than optimal behaviour.

Thus, the above statement is, True.
