Why do you think overweight and obesity are most common among low-income American ethnic groups even though, internationally, overweight and obesity are highest in the highest income countries??

Ethnic minorities in America who are of the low income group can only afford cheap food, and this cheap food is often low nutrition, and high calorie, which may cause obesity. Poor minority people in America have limited access to supermarkets and fresh and health foods. High students who are black are more likely to miss their breakfasts than white Americans. Research has also shown that African American are not as physical active as whites. Parks, schools and pavements are also less in minority communities, which restrict physical activity.
