We can use the Piaget's theory of Cildren Develpment as a Guide in nutrition education. As stated by Piaget children's cognitive development is important for their understanding of and learning about the world around them, we can apply his theory of child development to deesign effective nutition education appropriate for the developmental stages of childhood.To apply Piaget's theory in classrooms for developing education of young children, following things shall be kept in mind:

1.Use concrete pros and visual aids wherever possible

2.Make instructions relatively short, using actions as well as words

3.Be sensitive to the possibility that students may have different meanings for the same word or different words for the same meaning

4. Give children a great deal of Hands-on Practice with the skills

5. Provide wide range of experiences for building strong conceptual foundation for learning
