  • Qualitative research is usually done by the researchers for the study of deep understanding of the concept. Generally it is not intend for the generalization purpose.
  • For the generalization of qualitative and quantitative research there are three models given by Firestone, statistical generalization, analytical generalization and case to case translation.
  • Analytical and case to case translation (transferability) generalization is useful for qualitative research.
  • Therefore qualitative research can also be generalized but it is challenging and critical.
