Monitor the three major cable news organizations (ABC, NBC, & CBS) or (CNN, MSN, & FOX) watching for difference in how they cover news of Republican and Democratic candidates and office holders. What bias do they detect? Provide concrete examples of your findings
Taking examples from very recent posts, while CNN & MSN has highlighted Trump's warning to Russia as the first news on the webpage, FOX preferred to highlight Washington speaker Paul Rayn's announcement about not seeking re-election. Also I find FOX's headlines to be more emotive than CNN & MSN for example, the Paul Rayn’s announcement on FOX goes: "Washington Rocked as House Speaker Paul Rayn announces he will not seek re-election" while on CNN & MSN the same news goes like- "House Speaker Ryan won't seek re-election "& "Paul Ryan won't seek re-election “respectively. Similarly in other posts at CNN & MSN headlines are crisp and up to the point while on FOX they are elaborative and kind of expressive.
If MSN has more topics on its home page than other two which miss on topics like - Crime, other two has videos of recent related happenings which are missing from MSN's home page. Also MSN & FOX update posts more frequently as compared to CNN.
And, while MSN & CNN seem to be biased for posts related mostly to politics and authority FOX has news mixed with politics, entertainment.
