Industrial psychology. I am supposed to desgin motivational intervention that improves job satisfaction, improves job performance, reduces job stress, and reduces turnover. This intervention can, and should, include multiple parts, as it’s unlikely that one change will provide a solution to all four problems.\
- How will you determine whether your intervention has improved job satisfaction, improved job performance, reduced stress, and reduced turnover for the target position? Describe in detail the research design that you would use to evaluate the intervention
A-B-A research design can be used for this particular study. Rating scales and objective tests can be used to measure the dependent variables. A-B-A design involves establishing a baseline condition (the "A" phase), introducing a treatment or intervention to bring some sort of change (the "B" phase), and then removing the treatment to see if it returns to the baseline or any changes has occurred. Here the rating scales and objective tests can be used to establish a baseline condition. Interventions to improve the motivation can be given in sessions by trainer. Once the program is complete, the rating scales and objective tests used to measure the baseline condition can be reintroduced to the subjects to assess the effects of the intervention. Changes in the baseline measures indicate the effectiveness of the training program to improve motivation of the employees.
