Should adults, who have a mental health disability, be forced to take the medication that is prescribed by a doctor for the mental health disability? wrote in 5 full sentences

Homework Answers

Answer #1

I believe that adults who have a mental health disability should not be forced by healthcare professionals to consume medication. Individuals should be considered competent enough to take decisions with respect to the proposed method of treatment. A healthcare professional’s responsibility lies in providing adequate information to enable individuals to make an informed decision. They must also attempt to offer a reasonable opportunity to them. It is unethical for them to put undue pressure on patients or coerce their family members in order to favour medication.
