Answer #1

Symbolic interaction, in sociology is a micro level theory which says that people play an active role in shaping of the society. According to this theory, we interact with other things in th society based on the meaning which is given to them by the society. For example. Drinking alcohol is injurious to the health, but still people drink because it is ascribed as symbol of partying and enjoying in the society. These symbols give us an understanding of how the society works and also provides us with norms and social rules of the society. Thus, our society is constructed through society interaction and interpretations of people in the society.
