Discuss what stood out to you about personality assessment practices in 100 words or more

Personality is unique to every individual. However, personality assessment, tests individuals on a few basic generic traits. The fact that personality tests can help us understand the underlying causes of mental disorder really stood out to me. For instance, sometimes childhood experiences may not be able to identify the cause of basic anxiety which leads to hyperventilation anxiety syndrome. However, this aspect can be understood better on a personality test. Individuals who score high on neuroticism are individuals who have a personality trait which explains the reason why they stress so much and are anxious at all times. Personality assessment helps understand the underlying cause of mental disorders.
